10 Day Culture & Wildlife Safari in Kenya

If culture, wildlife and camping are amongst the reasons for your trip to Kenya, this 10 Day Culture & Wildlife Safari is undoubtedly the best for you. It combines some of Kenya’s remarkable spots including Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi

On arrival, you will be picked by our driver to start your 10 Day Culture & Wildlife Safari and transfer up to Nairobi Meridian hotel for an overnight stay. Check in, relax as you get prepared for a transfer to Sweetwaters conservancy

Day 2: Nairobi – Sweet waters Conservancy

Have morning breakfast and after check out for a jaw dropping drive to Sweet waters Conservancy in the north. You will arrive in time for lunch. Later visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary for primate encounters and a private waterhole. Diner and Overnight at Maiyan Country Lodge.

Day 3: Sweet waters – Lake Nakuru National Park

Early in the morning you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Once you get at the lodge, have lunch in time and after you will have an afternoon game drive for views of flamingo birds and over 400 other species of birds. Diner and night stay at Sarova Woodlands Hotel.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Kericho Tea Hotel

After beautiful moments in Lake Nakuru, you will transfer to Kericho via Kisumu city. It is known most for the dramatic archaeological sites and a vast granite rock tower (Kit Mikayi). After you will return to Kisumu for a night stay.

Day 5: Kisumu – Kendu Bay Simbi

Early in the morning you will continue to Simbi Nyaima Lake. This lake resulted after a large storm that occurred when the village residents refused to shelter and feed an old woman who seeking for refuge in this place. Dinner and Overnight at Cold Spring Hotel.

Day 6: Homa Bay Cultural day

Expect to spend this day with the local Luo traditional dancers and you will be entertained by their cultural dances, dressing styles and songs. Dinner and night stay at Cold Spring Hotel.

Day 7: Homa Bay – Thim Lich Ohinga

After morning breakfast, you continue with the journey from Home bay to Thim Lich Ohinga. Have lunch and after have a tour around this great park with the help of a local tour guide. Dinner and Overnight at Migori town.

Day 8: Thim Lich Ohinga – Maasai Mara

After great encounters in Thim Lich, your driver will transfer you up to Masai Mara National Reserve, a protected area known for great Wildlife encounters including the great Wildebeest migration. Dinner and Overnight at Mara Suns Hotel.

Day 9: Masai Mara National Reserve.

You will spend a full day game driving in Masai Mara’s suburbs for sweeping views of different Wild animals such as lions, cheetah, hyena, elephants, buffaloes, large herds of Wildebeest, Zebras to name but a few. After game drive, you can visit the Masai village to have an insight into the lifestyle and culture of the Masai people. Dinner and Overnight at Mara Seasons Lodge.

Day 10: Maasai Mara – Nairobi

If you are still in love with the wild animals, you can have a morning game and after check out for transfer back to Nairobi. Return flight back home.This will be the end of your 10 Day Culture & Wildlife Safari in Kenya with Magic African Safaris.
