A 4-day safari visiting the most famous national parks in Kenya, the Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru. The Maasai Mara Game Reserve is one of the best places in Africa for wildlife viewing. Game drives are a great way to experience the park, and they take place year-round. If the big cats are what you’re looking for on your Kenyan safari, you are guaranteed to spot them at the Mara. Lake Nakuru is a rhino sanctuary, harboring a population of over 40 black and over 60 white rhinos.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive Safari in Masai Mara National Reserve

The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, many kinds of antelopes, and elephants. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeests and zebras from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna—lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures. If lucky, you will experience a kill or river crossing as your lodge is very well located near crossing points!
